Securing funding and sponsorship dollars can be tricky for local sporting clubs. The good news is, there are plenty of local grants available to help clubs stay afloat and continue their important roles in local communities across the country (Good Sports).

Glenelg Shire Recreation Community Grants

These grants focus on Increasing sport and recreation participation to assist with club development; and enhance health, fitness and social cohesion.
Applications in the recreation category should align with council's Sport and Active Recreation Plan, Council Plan, and Health and Wellbeing Plan.

Other Grant Opportunities

Good Sports accreditation provides evidence to other funding bodies and local sponsors that your club is run in a professional way, meeting state laws and health guidelines.

Victorian State Government occasionally offers various grants and funding opportunities for clubs and community-based organisations. 

Sports and Recreation Victoria provide grants and funding to support sport and recreation in Victoria from local community clubs through to the elite level.

Sport Aus providing funding opportunities for individuals and sporting organisations through the Australian Sports Commission.

Vic Health provide grants and funding for a range of health promotion initiatives.
