Heywood Kindergarten has been providing high quality, culturally diverse Kindergarten programs to the children and their families within the Heywood and Surrounding communities since 1985.
Children, families, experienced teachers and educators are collaboratively involved in decision making at the service and are all active participants in the delivery of the educational programs.
The educational program focuses on children’s interests, the development of resilience, empathy, acceptance, inclusion of all, respect for ourselves and others and is based on the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework.
Teachers and educators work closely with families and local schools to assist children to successfully transition from Kindergarten to primary school.
Heywood Kindergarten has well developed links within the local community and this assists children to further develop a sense of belonging within their community.
