Hooked on Portland Festival

Hooked on Portland is a two day festival that celebrates our coastal centre as a fishing and tourism hotspot.

The Kelpie Festival is a fun filled day for all the family with local retailers and market stalls, food vendors and loads of entertainment for the children with Kelpie Kids, animal nursery, jumping castle and much more.

Wood, Wine and Roses Festival

The Wood Wine and Roses Festival is held on the last Saturday in February each year. The Festival is action-packed with a wide variety of activities and events for the whole family to enjoy.

Upwelling Festival

The Upwelling Festival celebrates what is unique about Portland and the community and show cases an important environmental phenomenon – the Bonney Upwelling.

Hooked on Tuna Fishing Competition

The Hooked on Tuna fishing competition is hosted annually by Glenelg Shire Council with assistance from the Portland Sports Fishing Club and Portland Lions Club.
Over 4 weekends anglers try their luck for their share in up to 10k prize money.

Business and Tourism Awards

The Glenelg Shire Business and Tourism Awards are held to celebrate the remarkable quality and expertise of our local business and tourism sector.
