Active Your Way Glenelg Logo Sports and recreation are essential to a healthy lifestyle and community. Glenelg Shire has plenty of beautiful spaces for you to relax and play in.

The Glenelg Shire Recreation Services maintains quality sporting facilities, playgrounds, and open spaces. The Council provides opportunities for a wide range of sport, recreation, and leisure activities. We aim to promote a more active and lively community.

We can help community groups and clubs with development, planning, and promotional activities. We also assist with volunteer training opportunities and applications for the Recreation category of the Council's Community Grants Program .

Reserve / Book a Sports Ground or Recreation Facility

We use the IMS Reserve Manager system to manage our sporting facilities, including Recreation Users information, allocations, and casual bookings. Click here for a copy of Council's Reserves and Pavilions casual hire conditions(PDF, 495KB) including a risk assessment template.

If you manage a club or are a casual user, you can create an account to reserve our sporting grounds.

Need to update Council's record of your sport and recreation club's contact details?

Or need to submit Club data and information to participate in Council's incentivisation program?

Note: Incentivisation Program is applicable for Clubs that are hold a current Lease or Licence for use of Council recreational facilities. For further details please contact the Recreation Team via email recreation@glenelg.vic.gov.au.

If yes to either of the above, please complete this online form which will then be forwarded on Council's Recreation Team.
