Glenelg Shire Council is delighted to announce the winners of the 'Eat, Shop, Play Local' competition, a celebration of community spirit and local commerce in the Shire.

The competition, which ran for four exciting weeks, encouraged residents to support local businesses while giving them the chance to win an impressive $2000 in prizes.

The response was nothing short of extraordinary, with community members rallying behind their local retailers, cafes, and stores and 791 entrants across the competition period.

Today, we proudly unveil the names of the four lucky winners who each received a $500 shopping voucher to spend at the local business of their choice within the Glenelg Shire:

Week 1: Roxanne White, who shopped at Milly’s Kidswear, Casterton

Week 2: Marjorie Aitchison, who shopped at Pauline’s Absolutely Fabulous, Portland

Week 3: Vicki Brown, who shopped at Sportspower, Portland

Week 4: Pauline Matthews, who shopped at Great Escape Garden Centre, Casterton

Glenelg Shire Mayor Cr Scott Martin expressed his appreciation for the incredible support from the community and local businesses during the competition.
