Council Plan

At its meeting on 27 June 2017, Council adopted it 2017-2021 Council Plan.

Glenelg Shire Council Plan 2017-21

Council prepares a new Council Plan after each election. The plans are made up of a vision, themes (broad areas of interest and importance), objectives (what we want to achieve) and strategies (how we will achieve them), which drive the direction of Council during their term. In practical terms, the direction helps Council to decide where it will invest its time and resources.

The plan has been informed by two rounds of public consultation. Council would like to thank all those who participated in workshops and made submissions. The Council Plan 2017-21 provides a new vision and direction for the shire that is community focused and aims to promote a diverse economy.

Quarterly Performance Reporting

During the consultation period in the development of the Council Plan, the feedback revealed that residents would like to be further informed of the progress of each measure, project and plan identified in the Council Plan.

In response to this feedback, Council have developed a quarterly reporting process in order to inform the community of how things are tracking, and improve our accountability and transparency.

If you wish to be added to the Performance Report Mailing List, please email your postal details to Corporate Planning Officer, Cherie Arnott at carnott@glenelg.vic.gov.au, or by phoning 03 5522 2562.

Each of the quarterly performance reports are listed and available for download, here;
