MEDIA RELEASE - Council's draft Health and Wellbeing Plan on public exhibition

1 September 2017

Public comment is now being sought on Glenelg Shire Council’s draft 2017-2021 Health and Wellbeing Plan.
The plan outlines council’s commitment to delivering, supporting and advocating for health-focused initiatives.

Glenelg Shire Council chief executive officer Greg Burgoyne said the plan was made up of local priorities, visions and goals, which would drive the direction for health and wellbeing within the shire over the next four years.

“The health and wellbeing of the shire is affected by how we live our lives, whether we have a healthy lifestyle and are able to access service and opportunities that affect our wellbeing,” he said.

“Council will work closely with the community, partner organisations across all sectors, and all levels of government to meet the changing needs of the community as identified in the new plan.”
